    Freshly emerged adult

    Description: 12-14 mm. a small brown skipper with a few cream colored spots on the forewing and the underside of the hindwing and cream colored ventral vienation

     

    Habitat and Distribution: Salt marshes in most of coastal Florida

     

    Host Plant: grasses 

     

    Natural History: While a few specimens have been reported from the lower Keys, these are likely either misidentifications or strays. At this time there are no known breeding populations in the Keys
