    Description: This is a medium sized skipper with bright orange color. Fresh adults can be spectacular in coloration. Ventral side is orange with no other markings. Males above have a black boarder. Females are larger and have more black markings above

     

    Habitat and Distribution: can be common in swamps and marshes in Florida. In the Keys, I have heard reports of sightings in Key Largo but I am not certain of any varified sightings.
