    Description: 10-10.5 mm. This hairstreak is brownish gray on the ventral side with a thin white and red line. Above, males are orange with black boarders. Females are grey with blue on the hind wing. This species has two sets of tails. 

     

    Habitat and Distribution: Central and South America and into Texas at times. This species is known from one specimen from the Keys (Grassy Key) in 1982.

     

    Host Plant: 

     

    Natural History: This species is not breeding in Florida and should be concidered an extremely rare stray.
